Where did they go wrong? What happened that causes you to believe the San Diego Marquis doesn't recognise Plat status? Did they offer you points or $10 credit? Did they upgrade you? Did that only offer to upgrade you if you paid? Did the receptionist say something like, "we don't upgrade/give points to/give lounge access to/ like" Plats?
These contributions can be very helpful. some hotels see elites as DYKWIA freeloaders where the management see no benefit from the scheme and pass that onto their staff. Most however do believe in the program. exposing the clunkers is a real benefit of this site, but how is this one a clunker?
