MY wife and I are planning a trip for February and are considering Autograph Collection hotel on Scrub island. Finding an "easy" way to get there from Boston is proving a challenge. I am wondering if anyone has tried to fly into St. Thomas and then use either the ferry or one of the companies that offer "water taxi" service to Tortolla and can share their experience.
Thanks in advance for any feedback!!!!
I found a couple of threads that may have some information you'll find useful:

Hope these help a bit!
We've been to the wonderful Scrub Island resort twice and your best bet would be to fly into San Juan (SJU). I am pretty sure JetBlue has non-stop flights to SJU then take Cape Air over to Tortola or Seaborne Airlines. If you're from the Boston area I'm sure you know Cape Air very well and even though their plane will be smaller than the Seaborne Saab 340 you'll have a much better view of the beauty of the islands along you way from San Juan.
From Tortola Beef Island Airport (EIS) the Scrub Island Suburban will take you on the two minute drive to the Scrub Island Ferry dock for the 10 minute ride to the resort.
From St. Thomas I believe you take a ferry to Roads End on Tortola however; that is a cab ride away from the Beef Island dock you get to Scrub Island.
You'll love the joint. Make sure you get out on the water and have some fun, but if you do go over to any of the U.S. Virgin Islands make sure you take your Passport with you as you'll need it.
Here are a few photos from our visits and if you need any other info let me know.
