With the way news has been with the travel industry lately, it's great to see some good news!
Marriott is going to start rolling out Netflix on it's in-room TVs! Of course the service won't be free; you will need to be an existing Netflix subscriber or sign up. And while this might not be that big a deal to most, but it's a welcome news to me! No longer do I have to lug around my Apple TV or Roku and hope that I can get it to connect to the in-room wifi.
But, this new setup may benefit non-users of Netflix too. Theoretically, if Netflix will just pull bandwidth from the TV system, there should be less people streaming Netflix on their laptops or other devices and may help to reduce network congestion on the property's wifi system. But that's just a theory for now.
Now if only they could give us remote controls that just worked. I don't know about everyone else, but some properties it takes ages for the remote to get the TV to even turn on!
kharada46 you beat me to sharing this awesome news! Thanks for sharing this info with the community.
