I just wanted to share my thoughts on Marriott attitude. I am a consultant who travels 80% of the time and currently have platinum status with SPG. recently I made a reservation with Marriott as it was the only decent hotel close to my destination. I called Marriott rewards and asked for a corporate challenge to fast track status upgrade but the rep flatly said no. Not only that but he said he is noting comments to my rewards account so no other rep will make exception either. What a rude way to say no and turning down a pretty huge business. I spend a lot of money on hotels and I guess Marriott didn't want my business! will be cancelling my reservation and would tell all of my co-workers about this interaction and I hope they learn from it and see how Marriott treats new business.
