Priortiy Pass

We have several extended trips coming up with long layovers.  I am considering purchasing the Priortiy Pass and would like to hear about the experiences of other Marriott Reward members regarding the Priority Pass.  I am considering the discounted year pass where we pay $79. for the membership and $27. for each visit for the two of us.  We only have 3 trips planned with about 6-8 hour lay overs each.  We will be in foreign countries and do not wish to leave the airport.  Thanks for your response.

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)

Economically it makes sense since clubs charge about $50 per person if you ask for a one day pass, and maybe more.  This, six stops would be very expensive.  If you are traveling First then you get access to other lounges as you know and don't need the clubs.

But the 20-85,000 points that you're cashing in cost you over a thousand dollars in Marriott spending at least, and once used are no longer in your account.  It's an opportunity cost thing.

But if it's just the cost to you, then the membership makes more sense.
