Florida Beach Recommendations for Little Kids

I've been combing through posts looking for tips on a Marriott Florida Beach property that would be budget friendly for a family with two little ones under three years old.

We're just looking for a clean property located right on a beach with pool, sand and breakfasts.

What I have read thus far as good options are:

-Marriott Harbor Beach

-Courtyard Cocoa Beach

-Treasure Island Residence Inn

-Cape Canaveral Residence Inn

Any other suggestions?

    Tracy:

The Treasure Island Residence Inn is the most family friendly of the beach properties listed.  In addition to Insider reviews, do take a look at the reviews on TripAdvisor.com

The Courtyard Cocoa Beach is better suited to a couple.  Also, it is my understanding that the lobby and Courtyard Cafe are undergoing a refurbishment so best to check what the status is for the target timeframe you have in mind.

    Tracy,

The RI in Port Canaveral is not on the beach, and would require a drive for the family to get to the beach.  Good location, but you are not going to walk to the beach from here.

Likewise, the CY is close to the Cocoa Beach, but is a short walk.  Again, you have a good location and will not need a car to get to the beach.

    Good luck!

    Jerry,

Is the Courtyard Cocoa Beach a good place to stay if you want a good view of a Space Shuttle launch?

    Thanks,

    P4Ever

The Courtyard Cocoa Beach is setback from the ocean, but directly south of Cape Canaveral on the beach by less than 2.5 miles.  If you have an oceanview north-facing room, the post-launch trail should be visible from the balcony and sand chairs if on the beach.  The Courtyard Cocoa Beach is a wonderful hotel with a brand new lobby, consider calling them and asking.

CY Cocoa Beach is a near perfect location for viewing a shuttle launch.  We stay with family a mile down the beach when we go there, and it doesn't get much better.  Enjoy the historic event.

How about two options on the Gulf side:

Spring Hill Suites in Naples is not on the water, but a good value, fairly new property, decent pool and a basic "suite" that can handle some kids plus two adults.

If you have enough points to offset some of the cost I would also consider the Marriott Suites Resort at Sand Key in Clearwater Beach.  All suites, water view out of both ends of the suite (bay side and gulf side).  Kids get the full buffet for $5.  Great pool with waterfall, Lisa the parrot mascot.

Cocoa Beach is an amazing place for little kids.  Even at spring break it is full of families not college students.  And its only 45 minutes to Orlando so you don't have to live in the land of Micky for your entire vacation.

      Well stated!

There is really a lot for a couple or family to do in Cocoa Beach!

Don't forget to visit The Space Center while there, as well as Astronaut Hall of Fame!

    Hi!

I was looking at the photo's of the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island in Riviera Beach, Florida. They have a lagoon pool with water slide, children's pool and a kid's club. This hotel maybe in the same price range as the  Marriott Harbor Beach. I have stayed at the Harbor Beach and it is a great hotel. Also, I would read all reviews, they are helpful in making a decision.
