What Defines A "Stay"

I am set for a business trip in the next few days where I will stay in one city for two weeks.  Per the "mega points" permotion terms, points are earned beginning with the second stay.  What defines a stay?  Will thirteen nights in the same hotel only count as a first "stay"?

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)

You asked, "Will thirteen nights in the same hotel only count as a first "stay"?"

Yes. A stay is the time between check-in and check-out, whether it's one night or multiple, consecutive nights.  If it's worth it to you to get the credit you need for the promotion you referenced, you might consider changing hotels as necessary to get the required number of stays if there are other Marriott properties in the area.  Good luck.
