Last winter when we were in Chile, we decided to spent a few nights exploring some areas around Santiago. The staff at the Santiago Marriott, especially those working in the concierge lounge, really made life simple. On our last day in the city, arrangements were handled for a late check out, storage of our luggage, a glass of wine and some light snacks and entrance into the spa for "fresh up" shower and change of clothes before heading off to the airport for our late evening departure back to the US.
We're returning to Chile this November and at first thought about using some Marriott Reward points and staying at the Ritz....but then we asked ourselves "WHY?" We're headed back to see our friends at the Santiago Marriott!
The staff also has great contacts at Almaviva.....if a taste or two of fine wine should hold interest to you!
We just returned from another journey to Chile (spending four nights in Santiago at our favorite Marriott). Nice to hold that platinum status, it does open doors to suites and one of the best concierge lounges in South America.
Found time to visit Casa Lapostolle vineyard and sample some of their fine wins.
