We've decided to enact a family ritual and travel abroad during the Christmas Holidays (last year Paris). This year it is London... Would like to leverage points and the Bexleyheath has very attractive reward options.
Would appreciate feedback on your stay at this property.
Many thanks and enjoy the day!
Bexleyheath is a fine hotel-although not as large as some US hotels. The town of Bexleyheath is quite smart and the hotel is almost right on what you might call Main St.There is a local shopping mall close by. There is a fantastic open park not too far away, although this might not be too good in the winter. However on a bright frosty morning in would be magnificent. There are two major malls LAKESIDE and BLUEWATER not too far away. I am not sure about transport to central London, but a bus or train could take 30 - 45 minutes I guess. If you have a car there are plenty of beautiful towns and villages in the county of Kent to have a look at - and being on the outskirts of London you will not have to suffer the London traffic before your journey into Kent starts.Try for a front corner room, I believe they are 217/218and 417/420. 518 is a great room, however I would not recommend rooms with a courtyard view.
The rail station of Ebbsfleet is very very close and you can catch the Eurostar train , which goes under the English Channel at high speed and you can be in Paris France in about 90 minutes
Have agreat time
The feedback was very helpful! The pix of the hotel are nice. We will not have a car so public transportation is key. We were spolied while in Paris since you can travel so far via the metro. Should we ook further in the city? Points were higher but we can plan accordingly...
Zen, the London Underground ( the Tube) does not service Bexleyheath. For direct access to the Tube you might be better off being close to the city centre. However transport links from Bexleyheath are not too bad, your options are:
National Rail from Bexleyheath to New Cross where you can join the Tube (East London line) or carry on to London Bridge where you can join the Tube (Jubilee Line) or carry on further to Waterloo for the Tube at (Jubilee line/Northern Line or Bakerloo line.
Another Alternative is to go to EBBSFLEET and catch the London bound EUROSTAR which will take you to St. Pancras rail Station ( A beautiful refurbished 120 year old station) Where you can board the Tube on the Victoria;Northern;Bakerloo;Hammersmith or Circle lines
Zen, just returned from london stayed 5 days in Bexleyheath. There is a train station in town 5 minute bus ride then 20 minute ot London bridges or Victoria station in london. There is small shopping mall in bexleyheath.
We use the London travel pass Check with a travel agent.
