Just wanted to share with you the exciting trip my wife and I took for our 37th Wedding Anniversary. We were contacted by the hotel concierge, Bianca Martha by email about 1 week before our arrival.
She upgraded us to a beach front view and a complimentary bottle of Champayne. Should you ever go there, please contact her and tell her you got her name from the Camp's.
The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service twice a day into town and that was all we needed and didnt even rent a car. The beaches were white as snow and the weather was cloudy overcast but mostly sunnty the entire week.
The museums, jewelry shops, etc. in the downtown areas (Punda) and the "Floating Bridge" was quite a sight to see.
A definte must on our return trip list. This was quite a relaaxing place to go to for to have a laid back vacation which it just what my wife and i needed.
Congratulations on the anniversary and the great experience in Curacao!
My wife read this and is interested in meeting Bianca at the Hotel. We think this could be a great way to spend out anniversary.
Thanks for sharing this with us. We will let you know how great it was.
Congratulations to you and your bride on your 37th Anniversary. We still have our Senior's Authentic Curacao Liqueur porcelain decanter, album of memories from the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort & Emerald Casino and picture postcards of the pastel colored shops, restaurants and townhomes of colonial Dutch downtown, Willemstad from our 4th Anniversary. Nestled in the Netherlands Antilles, Curacao is truly an island paradise. Exquiste beaches, unique architecture, rich traditions and peoples of Sephardim, European and African ancestry blended into a thriving culture with a tropical backdrop.* Amazingly, the Curacao Marriott** stands out to capture and celebrate the diversity of the island offering the warmest hospitality and service to be experienced on a resort anywhere in the Caribbean.
Postscript 4/2: The Curacao Marriott is listed as a participating hotel in the recently announced 3 for 2 Resort Special redemption offer, see: Hooray for Marriott Rewards?http://www.marriott.com/marriott.mi?page=sweetredemption
Did you stay at the Emerald Hotel or the Renaissance Hotel?
My family and I are considering booking a week at the Emerald Hotel & Casino. If you stayed there, can you please let me know if there are stores and restaurants within walking distance. We would prefer not to rent a car, but don't want to eat all of our meals at the hotel.
Any info you can provide is appreciated.
