Now, that we've got the hotel settled, my next request would be for recommendations for some good and reasonable restaurants in London. We are staying at the Park Lane, so some in that area would be welcome as well as some near the Victoria Palace and Garrick theatres. Any recommendations would be helpful. Not a fan of Indian or spicy food, but that would be my only limit.
HI i ca not help you for restaurants, but i am considering staying at the hotel in april could you tell me a little about it?
Is it a good location? it seems like it is on a main intersection, would the Marriott Grosvnor square be a better location for walking around? thanks.
Stayed at the Park Lane two years ago. Great location. The lounge is active and good. Directly across the street is a small italian place that was great. Lots of locals there. Good for an arrival or departure meal. Some of our favorite London restos after 5 visits are: Joe Allen, Chrisopher's, Zinc, Prospect of Whitby. I recommend the web site Tobtable for making your dinner reservations http://www.toptable.co.uk You cannot go wrong with their advice or service.
Thanks for the Toptable "Tip"!
We have only eaten at Joe Allen's on your list. It was fine. I cannot stress what an enjoyable place, The Audley is for lunch. It is just down from the US Embassy on Audley, or just in back of the Grosvenor, (Away from Hyde Park).
Again, Bon Appetit'.
