Visiting Moscow in July 2009 - staying at the marriott courtyard near Red Square. Any tips / suggestions ?

The Marriott Aurora Moscow is absolutely the best!  I cannot imagine any Courtyard anywhere coming even close.  The decor throughout is gorgeous.  The frescos are fantastic.  The hotel is truly a photographer's dream.  I've stayed at Marriotts all over the world, and this is by far the most beautiful.

This elegant hotel also has great employees--I left there with "three new best friends" from the hotel's staff.  First, the person at check-in kept in touch with me.  Each time I came into or left the lobby, she greeted me by name.  She was very interested in my excursions and always made time to talk.  The person in charge of the Business Center became a good friend as I used the Center often.  She was very friendly and of great help.  The waiter who served me breakfast each morning made it his mission to introduce me to the idea of caviar with my blini instead of syrup.  Each day he increased the percentage of caviar so that "I could eat the the Russian way".  All these employees called me by my first name and were so, so cheerful.

On the day I checked out, the waiter, the Business Center person both "escorted" me to the front desk where the check-in person checked me out.  They had made my visit so special that I truly did not want to leave!  Hugs?  Absolutely.  I literally felt like I left Moscow with "three new best friends".  What a winner!
