St Kitts All-Inclusive Option

Marriott offers a seven night all-inclusive award (90,000 points) for several of its Caribbean properties in conjunction with booking a seven night hotel award. Anyone have any experience in going the all-inclusive route at the Mariott St Kitts? I'm especially interested in knowing if the all-inclusive has limitations, either in choice of on-site restaurant and/or menu choice limitations.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I have just completed an all inclusive stay at St Kitt"s and it was wonderful. The steak house is an extra $35 per person for dinner and both the seafood and Itlaian restaraunts offer steak of similar quality.

Take advantage of the free drinks as that is where the $$ is saved. Overall, the food was excellent

My husband and I will be at the Marriott St. Kitts from April 15-22nd.  We did not book the all inclusive option because we love to try different restaurants on the islands we visit.  Our rate does include breakfast.  Do you happen to know how much extra the all inclusive option is per day/person?  I am wondering if it would make sense to book it to cover our lunch, some dinners and drinks.  Some say it's worth it.  You seem to feel it was a good value.

    Thanks for your help

My wife and I spent two weeks in January at St. Kitts Marriot and used two 90000 pt all inclusive awards. We had the time of our lives and never worried food or drinks. The all inclusive covered everything including the foam floats for the pool. You can't beat that, floating in the pool with your all inclusive float and pina colada. The steakhouse had a surcharge so we didn't go there, but I think the filet was better at Blu. That opinion was shared by other guest who had dined at both restaurants. We enjoyed the breakfast every day, lunch at bohemiaand dinner at Blu or La Cucina. We found both the food and the service to be excellent. All your drinks are included which was great. When you get there say hi to Vanroy at the pool bar, from pam and bruce. Van is definately the man. You have pleny of choices and even though we were ther two weeks, we never got bored with the selections or venues. Have fun, we can't wait to go back.

I'm trying to decide between St Kitts Marriott and/or St Thomas Frenchmans Reef.  Do you know of the comparison?

Both Marriott resorts on St. Thomas and St. Kitts have full service hotels plus Marriott Vacation Club villas. St. Kitts has a casino, so an upside is more to choose from at night.  St. Thomas is part of the US Virgin Islands and there are great day trips by air or boat to St. John and St. Croix.

We stayed at the Frenchman's reef last year and it was great.  We were there with three other families and the only complaint we had was Coco Joe's was not included in the "all inclusive".  Ridiculous as we could order on the beach from Coco Joe's, but not go in and eat.....  Anyway we loved the resort and would go back.  We stayed in the Morning Star section (by the beach) which I would recommend.  Long walk to the main pool, but steps from the beach.  The rooms were great down there.  We are going to St Kitts over Thanksgiving, so I can let you know how that is after we get back.

I was also planning a trip to St. Kitts but was not aware of the 90,000 point offer.  Please provide more details on how to take advantage of this fantastic deal.  Is there a promotion code to use when reserving?  Thanks for your input.

it's a great deal and I did the all inclusive 2 years ago in St Kitts. I just made reservations for two weeks in January and purchased the all inclusive

with points, but it is now 110,000 points. The promotional code is NCL

Even at the higher point cost I think it is still a great deal.

Please let me know if you are able to get the all inclusive for less. Thanks!

I thought they stopped too, from the link I posted on another discussion.  This demands further research!

St Kitts has so many good restaurants that it makes no sense to me staying entirely on-property for meals.

From the Marriott Concierge on Flyer Talk...

For those of you who have an existing reservation with plans to use the All Inclusive package, the AI reward will be honored for your stay. So this would be for an existing 5 or 7 night redemption reservation booked prior to Oct. 17, 2011 at one of the AI participating properties. The reward does have to be requested and issued on your account by January 17, 2012.

I hope this helps those who were planning to use the reward for an upcoming stay.

            Kind regards,

            Marie

              Good News Bad News

The Good news is that this all inclusive arrangement is available by January 17, 2012

The Bad news is that the Marriott is eliminating this arrangement after that date!!!   Why?

I would love to know what drove the decision to eliminate it at certain locations.  Was it just cost, or what?

      Banker,

Right now the Insiders website technical team is applying categories to old posts.  Categories will help Insiders to more easily search for posts of interest.  Unfortunately, when the Insiders team applies the new 'category' fields to old posts, it changes the date of the post and makes the post appear as if it is brand new.  Also, sometimes they will combine comments from multiple posts into one post for a related item in order to 'clean things up' a bit.  I believe that is the case with this post.  I think this post is dated from last year, and the latest offer is no longer valid.

As far as where you find these offers, it would be on your Marriott Rewards deals and offers page.

I DON'T THINK THAT YOU CAN USE all points for reserving  a stay at an all-inclusive resort.  Can you?

Not sure, lonestar.  I saw an all inclusive offer on my offers page, can't remember if it was for St. Kitts or Frenchman's Cove, but I don't know if it can be had on points.  A call to Marriott C/S would probably answer that.

I called and you can use points for the hotel stay, but for the meals, you have to pay with cash or credit cards.  Air fare is separate.  So there are no all-inclusive options using all points (hotel and meals).
