We have a room booked at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London using Marriott reward points for a week in May. It seems to be a nice property in the center of London. Can anyone tell me about it? What is the concierge/executive level like - I think there is concierge access 7 days a week. Also how easy is it to get upgraded to a deluxe room or a suite, since I believe they only offer a king bed or 2 twins in a standard room. Thank you for any help that you can give us.
Stayed here a couple of years ago. Concierge lounge definitely above-average in terms of both offerings and level of service.
I was graciously upgraded to a suite with a great view of Hyde Park. I'm not sure if this is because I'm a platinum, or because of extensive remodeling going on....or both.
Lovely as the suite was, it was somewhat in need of refurbishing, which I'm sure has been done now that the remodeling project has been completed.
Just got back from one of our favorite hotels in London. The Grosvenor, has a conservative lounge, that is very good. The rooms are nice, but not overwhelming, it's the location that we really enjoy.
Try our favorite pub, out the back of the hotel, The Audley. Great food, drink and atmospher, on Audley street. Say hi to the great staff in the C. Lounge.
Upgrades can be tough, but is based upon room availability. Walk to Hard Rock #1, and to Harrod's!
