I recently returned from a business trip to Phoenix, and was very disappointed with the Courtyard Camelback hotel. The room was very small and looked like it had not been touched since the hotel was built. There were no closets, and the wardrobe blocked the view of the ancient tv. At $239 per night, I expected much more from Marriott, and have experienced nicer Hampton Inns. As a loyal Marriott customer for several years, this experience left a very negative impression on myself and my four coworkers who travelled with me. My recent experiences have shown that Courtyards are becoming hit and miss, and a platimum membership level has no impact on room size/ quality.
