I am going to be in Jacksonville, FL for business in a few weeks. I am staying at the Jacksonville Marriott. How is the hotel? Any good food nearby?

Very nice hotel with a splendid location.  Likewise, if you are a golfer, the Sawgrass property is very nice as well.

There are many very nice places to eat very close.  You will not be disappointed!

I live around the cornor from this property.  The area is close to most things.  As far as food, there are the typical places at St. John's Shopping.  It is only a mile or two up the road and has everthing from Panera to Capital Grill.  If you don't mind going a few miles further, you can make it out to the beach and there is Roy's and Tento (Brasilian steakhouse).  However, the easiest would be St. Johns.  While I've never stayed there, I have had collegues tell me it is nice and the common areas are nice.  The bar seems a little slow and the food I have eaten there is also good.
