"Improved" Rewards Program disappointing

Just started shopping for hotel rooms (using points) under the new program. JW Marriot Cancun 7 nights, previous points 130,000,....now 180,000. Looked into 3 and 5 night stays for the same location over the next several months and found multiple instances of unavailable rooms. Very disappointed with this change. I will be actively looking for a new reward program. 2 Thumbs down Marriott.

    I just tried to make a reservation with "points" for any day in the coming six months at the Grand Flora in Rome.  It was not possible - even though it was going to cost almost double the points because of the change in points and BECAUSE Marriott changed the level to an 8!!!

     

    What happened to "NO BLACKOUT DATES!?"
