My personal opinion, get a Travel Package for 7 nights and 120,000 miles for 235,000 points and go to Hawaii, Category 6 or 270,000 points for a Category 7 hotel.
Either way, you will have the airline miles for the flight and 7 nights in a beautiful hotel in Hawaii. The Marriott in Waikiloa on the big island is relatively new.
You cannot go wrong with Hawaii.
The best place I have stayed is in Portugal. You can see it in the Interval Exchange Book. It is called Fairways 4 Seasons. Each Villa has its own SEPARATE jacuzzi or pool. We went in September and we had a private pool. It was beautiful. Check weather conditions though, at certain times they have pretty heavy duty storms.
Since a Honeymoon may be a once-in-a-lifetime event, I believe it should be something very, very special. The selection should include romance plus your individual interests. Based on my experiences, here's my suggestions. If you are interested in romance in an island setting, you can't go wrong with Hawaii (as another respondent mentioned). I recommend the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort (Maui), the Waikoloa Beach Marriott (Big Island) or the Kauai Marriott Resort and Beach Club (Kauai) for the best in relaxation. If you are interested in romance with lots of siteseeing, check out the Paris Marriott Hotel Champs Elysees (Paris): memorable in many ways such as architecture, history, restaurants, museums, nightlife, fashion, etc. and easy to get around with the Metro. If you are interested in romance with a trip of a lifetime, I recommend the Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay (Sydney, Australia): Opera House, the Harbor Bridge, the Zoo (kangaroos and koalas) and the friendliest people on earth. Prepare well and you will be rewarded with a most memorable honeymoon.
Great advice from the last poster. I will say that it is very difficult to get a reward stay in Paris at the Champs Elysees Mariott, but if you do, you will not regret it. Walking out of the hotel right into the heart of the boulevard, it is amazing.
Congratulations, and have a great honeymoon.
This would be my choice!
One tip! Do not be discouraged if it not available at first, just try in EVERY DAY!
I just got back and it opened up one week before we got there and it was the best!
