Like it or not, Marriott is a business...so our response must be business-like.  If a better value can be had staying elsewhere it is incumbent upon us to find it and use it...I too am an MCVI owner...the solution is not to trade your unit for points but to use Interval for trades...that way you get 7 days for 7 days value....additionally, the best way to get the message across  that our points and timeshares have been devalued is to not attend any more timeshare presentations since Marriott has also reduced the value of your free time required to attend these presentations for points...remember Marriott has three more timeshare sites they are pushing hard to sell...once you affect the bread and butter for the MCVI timeshare sales staff you affect Marriott's bottom line.  Sales of timeshares have already slowed but you can't sell to an empty room and in this economy that means a real drag on the bottom line.  Why give up valuable vacation time to listen to a worthless sales pitch?  They'll get the message...eventually.

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)
