Even though I am a Marriott Reward member , I am also a very loyal Starwood Preferred Guest because I think the value of my starwood points goes so much farther. For example, I can stay in a category 6 Resort for 10,000 points in Hawaii and it costs me at least triple the points at a Marriott resort. Marriott is trying to be like starwood in copying "No Blackout dates" but they don't charge you more points - You should really look at the competition. It is also not fair that you penalize your loyal customers who want to just use some points for a weekend and you charge more per night than the folks who stay for a full week. Starwood charges the same for 1 night or 4 nights. and also gives you the 5th night FREE after staying 4 nights!
