This is another example of a hotel chain devaluing their freequent guest program and rolling it out as "new and improved." Who are you trying to fool? Your best customers? You simply wanted more points for your New York and other high revenue hotels. This is your way of getting that revenue (points are money, at least to us).
While I will give you credit for this forum, it's insulting to try and make it look like this somehow overall benefits the elite clients. Shame on Marriott.
