I will be staying at this Marriott and wonder if anyone else has opinions about it - Is it close to the train? as we won't have a car - can you walk to the Eiffel Tower, is there shopping close by? Do I need to bring electrical outlets for US plugs? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
The property is very remote!
I have been there, stay at La Defense Ren. before this place. There is no real public trans. and it it not what you would want. Keep trying, every day to get into the C-E Marriot. Things change for the hotels daily.
Good luck, Jerry@aol.com
As per the Hotel site:In between the business district of "La Defense" and "The Palais des Congres", it only takes few minutes to reach the famous Champs Elysees avenue. -- Paris is easy to get around either walking the wide avenues or using their underground - le metro. Our son/stepson stayed there last year and thought it was great. You will need to take different plug converter [available at airports] and France is 230/240 volt so make sure you have a dual voltage hairdryer or use the one supplied in the hotel. . . . enjoy your stay.
