I think Marriot are a truly excellent brand, and have in the past been delighted with them. I recently stayed a the Marriot Johnstown house, taking time out to spend with my daughter. The hotel was excellent, but the service shoddy. This was a reward stay, but I also spent about $200 extra at the hotel. I was truly looking forward to it. I had major issues twice with the room service. I complained to Marriot only to get a stock answer from the hotel itself..and felt very let down by the brand...What was to be a relaxing treat, turned into a very stressful stay that was truly bad bad value.
