The best place to go, if you can get in on points, is the Marriott on the Champs!
It is tough to get in, but with 4 people, eveyone can do their thing, and not be bound by travelling all the time with each other. The metro is close, and the tourist buses that will take you arounc are very close. Likewise, there is nothing like this location around Paris. Second, would be Renaissance by the Louve. Third, Renaissance La Defense. If you have any other qustions, I was just there with my family on 10/1/08 and would be glad to share what worked for me! Jerrycoin@aol.com I may be able to share with you how to save on transportation big time, as my brothers and families did this past week.
With two teenagers in Paris, and I have done it, i would try to stay at the Marriott C-E. It is easy for all to find and there is much all of you can find of interest in the areal.. I tried staying at the Ren. place Vendome, and the teenagers stayed out too late and could not find the hotel. Never Again!
Make it easy on them and yourself, they will enjoy all the neat places on the C-E, and so will you.
Wow! It is hard to believe that 6 months have passed...Quick update - We stayed at the CE and it was spectacular. Great access to the Metro, the stores were open on Christmas eve (room treats), holiday booths set up complete with food and drink on the CE, heavy foot traffic during the holiday season and we enjoyed the excitement!
Thanks for the feedback!
They accomodated our family size, provided breakfast coupons (2) and offered advice on local sites, etc.
