Just came back from a short stay at the Westcliff Bournemouth Marriott -- on the beach south of London. Really impressed with the recent refurbishment -- a mix of modern and traditional. Very obvious that the new General Manager is giving his colleagues and associates great guidance -- their service and attention to detail was excellent. Looking forward to sampling the new restaurant - Highcliff Grill -- on our next visit. Beaches were really impressive -- see a few pics attached.
I would suggest that everyone go to Ask Marriott Rewards a question about its new "No Blackout Dates" policy and other upcoming enhancements

I agree with you that this is a nice hotel - shame you didn't get a chance to sample the restaurant! I stayed here just over a year ago at a conference and was fed by (what was then) a new chef showing his skills. The restaurant/dining rooms were great, a huge variety of very well cooked food. We were there for 1 week, 3 meals a day and each meal was special, tasty and something different - I must have put on a few pounds!
I think you might mislead people mentioning the 'just south of London' part... its 2 hours on the train and a few more hours driving, so, not that close by!
