Stay Anytime Rewards

Many of you must have wondered why there is only “Stay Anytime Rewards”, which is double points, available when the hotel has standard rooms available.  Does Marriott not recognize the value of its customer like other major hotels namely Hilton?  This is direct quote from Hilton, “If there’s a standard room available at any Hilton Family hotel or resort worldwide, you can redeem points for it—no exceptions, no fine print. It’s that simple”. There is no double points system.

If someone from Marriott is reading this post, please explain why Marriott cannot value its customer like any other reputable hotel chain?

Does anyone else have thoughts?

I totally agree! I'm trying to find a hotel in NYC in a few weeks and I can't touch anything with standard points. But of course there are rooms available if you want to pay the $400 a night for a standard room. Loyalty is a two way street.

(For each location tag, you will be guided through a 3-step process to add (1) a city and a state or a city and a country, (2) a Marriott brand, and (3) a Marriott hotel.)
