Ko Olina trip coming up...Suggestions?

It's been a few years since my last visit to Hawaii, and I'll be visiting the MVCI Ko Olina Beach Club Resort, where I am an owner, later this month.

Any ideas for things to do?  Anything new in the last couple of years?  Any recommendations for resort activities? Nearby restaurants that might have popped up recently?  Any contruction completion?

(Can't wait to get over to Romy's for some shrimp Scampi!!!

Ko Olina Marriott has a very fine spa and a great pool deck. At the golf course club house, they have a new Roy's Hawaiian Fusion restaurant. Ask for the nightly sushi special roll and have a Roy's signature pinapple martini. Yummy! Also try the sushi restaurant at the Marriott

We loved sitting outside at the bar at Roy's.  There was lots of construction going on in September...plan lots of activities away from

We visited your property last summer.  A good drive from Waikiki Beach.  We went to a timeshare presentation-but when they saaw us with children.  They asked us if we were really interested in a timeshare, and I told them no.  They said we appreciate you being honest.  We will go ahead and skip the presentation and give you the free passes to the Luau andshow.  It was a great show, even had games contests, art and crafts for children--all free.  One should try this if they want to save a lot of money.

I always look forward to dinner at Roy's there at the Ko Olina village. For things to do, a day trip around the island is always a fun diversion for me. If you golf, Ko Olau' at the foot of the mountains should be on anyone's list arguably still the Hardest Course in America.

The property was remodeled very effectively. Ko Olina has become a great destination resort. There is plenty to do in the nearby area and some very good dining choices in the small town to the east one off-ramp.

If you can, rent a car and take a drive along the island's coast up to the pipeline and to Doe. It's beautiful away from the city!

Roy's is still great - however, the new restaurant at the Ko Olina property is horrible.  Still good to walk or drive over to Ihilani for meals. Unfortunately, not enough upscale resort restaurants near this property.

Just home home from 12 days at the JW in Ko olina. Hotel has slipped some since last year's visit. No evening show by the pool and also no bottled water at the bell desk. Pool was still pleasant but the lagoons are always the best spot. Service was a bit off as our requests for in room refrigerator upon arrival was missed. At least Housekeeping was spot on. Far too many weddings at the Campbell property with the DJ music blasting until near 10 PM. Our room overlooked the Campbell property so we heard it all, even with the door closed and the TV on! Save your money and have dinner in Kapolei, just 2 miles from the resort. Plenty of good local food for under $10.00 per person. Place was empty during the week, but a low local rate fills the place on weekends.
