While you are in St. Kitts, you should ferry over to Nevis - great little island (directly across from St. Kitts - ~ 15 minute ferry ride) You can dive with a crew there at Oualie Beach - they are great and the spot they take you has great snorkeling and a nice little dive.
You should also stop by Sunshine's in Nevis one evening. Beautiful spot on the beach and rum punch called Killer Bee that is so strong you only need one!
Unfortunately, never stayed at the Marriott Resort there but golf at the 4 Seasons in Nevis was good.
I did not find St. Kitts interesting, at all, but really enjoyed our time in Nevis - think of Nevis as the rural country side of St. Kitt - just across the water.... You can hike up the mountain with a guide or by yourself. There's a fantastic little restaurant on the top side of the mountain - Banana's - beautiful spot.
My wife and I stayed here on points last October, and we weren't overwhelmed. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our upgraded room (suite) was also very nice, and had water views from the balcony.
However, the big disappointment was the pool. It was filthy and unkempt. You could actually see areas where the grout was either missing or so badly eroded. The water had so much "oil slick" that we dared not stay in it for long. We spend a lot of time pool lounging, and we'd like to be able to take a dip in the pool without feeling like you're swimming next to the Exxon Valdez! Also, the town doesn't have much in the way of shopping, so just to let you know.
It probably didn't help that we stayed here AFTER our stay at the fantastic Four Seasons on Nevis. Their pools were immaculate (as you can see, we're big on pools)!
We should have done our trip in reverse.

Can any one give my wife and I suggestion on what to do and what to see in St. Kitts? This is our first visit there and trying to make the most of my week there. If you have resturant suggestions that would also be appreciated.
My wife and I are considering whether to go to the Marriott Curacao in March. We are looking for a location with a good beach, warm weather and snorkeling. We aren't sold on Curacao as of yet so want to see what others have experienced or
I am going to the Marriott Frenchmans Reef Hotel on St. Thomas in July. I have been reading some horrific reviews on this property and hope they are not correct. Has anyone been here recently that can share their experience? Many thanks.
