Greetings fellow Marriott Rewards Insiders!

Can anyone provide any insight as to the "perks" a Marriott Lifetime Platinum member can expect when staying at a Ritz Carlton.  I will be attending a conference at the end of the week at the Amelia Island Ritz Carlton and would like to know.  Specifically, will I get an upgraded room and access to the Club Lounge?

Thanks in advance for your insight!

You will get the benefits of a Ritz-Carlton Platinum member, which includes a room upgrade, based on availability, which explicitly excludes club-level rooms. You will not get access to to the Club Lounge.

It excludes both club level rooms and suites, but it's at the discretion of the hotel what they decide to give you, which, if anything, will most likely just be a corner room or a better view.

They don't want to dilute the air of exclusivity at Ritz-Carlton. If they give you a suite for "free" you'd never have incentive to rent it. I remember during the recession, when hotels were lowering their rates left & right,RC said they didn't want to lower their rates too much, because they'd have a hard time recouping higher rates when the economy improved.
