Can somebody please define what, "enhanced Internet access," is, please? This is an item that is free for Gold and Platinum Elite members and charged for other members. So, what makes it different from regular Internet access? If you cannot define it, you cannot deliver it. If you cannot deliver it, it cannot be charged for or put on a contract line item. If it is on a contract as a deliverable, but cannot be, then the contract is in breach.
Thus, please define it.
As I understand, all rewards members now get "basic" internet access. Gold & Platinum get "enhanced" and the regular members and non-members can upgrade to the "enhanced" version for a fee. The "basic" is probably throttled and only really usable for basic web-browsing and email. The "enhanced" supposedly adds the capability of video chat, streaming etc... Whether this just means basic is throttled to a lower speed or they are actively blocking certain protocols I am not sure.
You are buying the line here! It isn't so clear cut. In some cases, guests have been reporting terrible speeds (0.6 Mbps) with the enhanced internet. That isn't useable. My point is that there is no definition of what any of this really means before the contract is agreed upon and the sale completed. In addition, some resorts include enhanced Internet in the "resort fee." Elite guests are paying the resort fee for a service that they already have!
One of the benefits for gold and platinum members was free internet at all properties (except for few exclusions).
With free Wi-Fi as standard for all members now, MR has not provided anything as a replacement benefit because not all properties have "enhanced internet". If they do, they never provided it for me.
