When did they slip this past me and did anyone else know of this opening? Looks like a fine joint, but part of the joy of Venice is being in the city and getting lost not on an island that require a shuttle to the city unless it's a Gondola!!
Speaking of getting lost, which way to the Piazza?
Just looked at this as well. Not the ideal location for wandering the streets of Venice. We stayed in a rental in San Zaccaria and it was more than perfect. Walking out the door with no agenda but a sense of adventure and amazement in this beautiful city. My whole love of Venice was the fact that you could walk all day and not hit the same place twice. Finding small cafes just to people watch or restaurants that looked more like somebody's kitchen and the amazing food.
The hotel looks spectacular but the location is not for someone like me.
