Who Knew?

Mrs. Pained was preparing some chipotle slaw for the evening's fish tacos...while chatting, I galnced out the kitchen window and saw this fella on the deck snacking on a tomato.  Upright, and using his hands to hold the fruit in place whilst he chomped away. Who knew these guys sat straight up while eating? We're a good distance from Punxsutawney, so it's not Phil..maybe a cousin?

Great picture.  You mean you don't dine with these critters while enjoying the fish tacos?

I spend a lot of time hiking and do see them in that form but usually eating nuts or seeds.
