I was just wondering about the resort fees you pay when staying in San Juan I understand it is 18% but does it matter how many people are in your room still or can we book a 2 queen bed with 4 people, I have heard different things with this resort fee covers that but some hotels charged based on # of people in room feedback would be appreciated greatly, thank you

Hey travelguy81! As promised, I looked into your question, and learned that the resort fees are charged per room, and not on the number of guests in the room. Let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks for posting!

thank you lindseyh for the information I also found out today the resort fee is the fee and they also charge you depending on how many in the room and an extra $25 a person for a 3rd and 4th person in your room at the Marriott and Renaissance so anyone can count on  a $50 extra charge if you have extra people unless you can sneak them in somehow to avoid this extra fee lol.

I am a Platinum member and recently booked a rewards stay at the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino for myself +3. When booking the T&Cs listed a $30/day resort fee. However, my reservation confirmation lists the resort fee as included. I assume this is a benefit of being a Platinum member. Looking through other threads, the policy may vary by hotel.

The Marriott and Stelaris is a great property. The CL is awesome. It is on the Penthouse floor and has indoor and outdoor seating. Good food options and drinks. There is also a tv and computer to print boarding passes from. The pool and beach are also very nice IMO.

Did they reopen the lounge?  I thought they closed it permanently last year?

I was there in late April 2014. Not sure if it was closed after that. Sorry.
