We're staying at the Marriott Downtown.

Any suggestions on things to check out?

Powell's bookstore, the Chinese Garden, the waterfront park, OMSI, Washington Park, sales tax fee shopping, Higgens restaurant (or the bar), Heathman Hotel for cocktails

    Try the Ringside Steakhouse!

One of the best in the country.

Take a 45 minute drive south on route 99 to McMinnville OR and visit the Museum there.  The Howard Hughes Spruce Goose and lots of other interesting planes are now in residence.

Some great Yamhill County wineries are located along the road as you head south (two lane road for part of the trip so you might be in traffic) with wonderful Pinot Noirs.  I recommend Rex Hill for buying and or tasting myself.

Linfield College is a small, liberal arts college located in town.

Treat yourself to an afternoon exploring Oregon's wine trail.

Head west about 40 minutes on Hwy 26 to Hwy 6 to Hwy 47 south into the Willamette Valley and visit the amazing Willamette Valley Vineyards.  My personal favorite is Tualitin Estate Vineyards

The Reisling is a must try.

    Enjoy!
