During a wonderful stay at the Kauai Marriott several years back, I contracted severe food poisoning and had to be hospitalized - a real nightmare. We had not eaten a bit of food anywhere but at the resort. However - as soon as I returned home Marriott's legal department contacted be (I was quite surprised), and let me know that if I try to prove they were at fault I would not have a leg to stand on (I had never considered taking any action.)
As a result I am petrified to go back even though we LOVED it up until that point. I must mention that the hospital did not want to treat me due to antiobiotic allergies and 2 days later I was on a 10 hour flight home in that condition. Any words of wisdom as I would like to try it again (not the e coli part!)?
