Using Marriott Credit Card at Non-Marriott Hotel

Hello everyone,

Budding road warrior here. I started a new job a few months ago that has heavy travel, and our company prefers to use Marriott hotels whenever possible, so naturally I signed up for the premier credit card, and use it as my main card for business travel & client dinners. All in all, I've been very happy with it.

Marriott hotels. Since the Marriott card has no foreign transaction fees, I'll use it to pay for my hotels there. My question is pointsmail asking why we didn't stay at a Marriott)? Any one else have any experience doing this?

Second paragraph got garbled. 1st sentence should be: Next month, I have some industry conferences overseas at non-Marriott hotels.

    ExiledtoNY,

Welcome to the Insiders Community.  I use my Marriott Credit Card everywhere including non-Marriott properties.  I don't ever recall getting any comments from other hotels.  I think most clerks don't even pay attention and just swipe the card.
