Hi

Just wondering what the better deal might be; for 3 nights at a CAT 6 Marriott no point saver

90,000 Marriott Points

34,600 AX Reward Points

The cost of the hotel with taxes is $840.00

Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks

surprisingly, it's roughly the same. if you use a conversion equivalent of airline miles and how much you can redeem for a flight, it's usually a good way to compare. for instance, about 70,000 marriott points will get you a roundtrip domestic trip. assuming a 1:1 ratio, about 25,000 AX reward points is about a roundtrip domestic flight. with that in mind, the AX reward points are worth a little more and so the 90,000 marriott points would have a slightly better redemption value, since the AX reward point should be used for something else like a flight. for the most part, marriott points are best used when redeeming points for hotel stays, but that's not always the case.
