Welcome Home Prof,
Looks like erc, a few others and myself might have to bring some of these posts that appeared while you were out of contact (for reasons only known to Marriott and communitymanager) to the front today.
After his housekeeping chores expect him to disappear again!
The are occasions when one must prioritize their time.
Recently I had a difficult decision to make: Complete watching the 6th season of "Sons Of Anarchy" or post on the "insider's site".
After contemplation, consulting with my clergyman, paying four hundred dollars for an hour with my therapist, I made the decision to watch television.!!!!
Looks like I inadvertently derailed your thread, Prof, so you can find my original response here:
No problem at all, missgee, and I think I've been seeing the same things you have. Sometimes I have lots of time to spend on Insiders, other times much less and sometimes none (when I am staying at a non-Marriott European hotel). Andy, with all due respect, it just doesn't make sense that I can access Insiders EVERYWHERE, including buses, but not at a whole variety of completely different hotels. Are you sure there isn't some kind of firewall based system for that situation? It happened a few years back with Colby, where I could get on in most but not all places. But it wasn't hotel-specific.
Hi Prof (and everybody else too),
It has been one year since I have visited. On March 22, 2013 I had open-heart surgery where they did 3 bypass grafts to overcome 6 blockages ranging from 50% to 100% block. For the most part, I have recovered from that, but in August I had to have bladder surgery (TURP for the curious), and I am just recovering from that plus the diabetic upswing in blood sugar levels. Hopefully, all is much better now, so I can resume activities.
Welcome back and blessings to you and your family for what you've gone through recently.
There are a number of newbies here that are very savoy and some old timers as well among the MI gang.....so like one of our regulars posts, "keep on keeping on" and good to have you back in the saddle, I look forward to your posts as well.
Thank You all for the good wishes.
The latest trip I made with the grands, was to Dauphin Island, Ala. Think Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, without the noise, crowds, and commercialism. The beaches are white sugar powder, and although public, they feel private. There is an excellent Renaissance downtown Mobile that we used while waiting for the rental house to be readied.
