Perhaps the owners/managers/software gurus at Marriott Rewards Insiders could put a temporary screen hold on all bookmarks that are merely ways to link us to often pirated television shows, or other media ads. Doing this would send them to a holding pen before posting and save us the time needed to report the abuse.
There might also be value in tracking down these perpetrators to determine if they actually are or should be members of Marriott Rewards, since some of the same names (often key repeats such as gfgfgffg, etc.) keep popping up. I note that "guest" is now an acceptable name for creating hotel reviews, so naming seems to have become almost like "anonymous."
Good suggestion. Just watched TripAdvisor CEO/Co-founder on television discussing how they are going to use their data base of reviews to 'personalize' info for those of us clicking on a hotel or restaurant. This no doubt explains Marriott's recent expansion into reviews (although, given the headaches we've seen with web site and this forum, it remains to be seen if they could do it). But once again, IMO, the development of sound business ideas by Marriott has come at the cost of efficacy of this forum. Here's hoping your suggestion, along with other Insider IT pros (and we have many, who make what seem to be reasonable suggestions), can get the forum back on track to build the participation momentum we used to have before all of the 'outside' tinkering. This is a remarkably valuable travel tool whose full potential hasn't come closed to being realized.
