So I recently learned that Marriott now uses an algorithm to define corporate rates. What kind of hooey is that? What happened to using customer room nights and current occupancy for that discussion. Oh and to top it off, the rep refused to come to our facility to discuss rates. I'm sorry, but that is extremely disrespectful. I have never been more insulted and felt less wanted at ANY place. We have clients, sister companies and suppliers coming in almost weekly. We also host educational seminars for our products and would be booking conference space. It's been about 3 years since I dealt with the travel side of things and I have to say, the Marriott has fallen FAR!!!
