I would like to suggest that along with lifetime nights that Marriott Rewards also show Lifetime Points on the account overview page as it will save calls to the customer service. This is espically true with the new attention lifetime rewards are getting. I know that number could be disarming to us road warriors but it can't be any worse than realizing you spent over 1000 nights away from your family
I just asked about this yesterday and was told that they used to do it but that too many members were getting confused, thinking that that was the number of points they had available for rooms. Not sure that's true but it still doesn't make sense to me anyway. I really don't believe many member are that stupid.
I can see how that could get confusing for members who are not frequent travelers. It may make them believe they have more points than they actually do and may lead to questions to the helpline. On the other hand, not many people may be concerned about lifetime points so they figured it's better to leave that information out from the profile.
