Hi missgee. I used Cruisesonly to book our Caribbean cruise in 2012. I used enough points to save $2000 on the cruise and wouldn't have been able to afford a suite otherwise so was a good move for me. It is totally preference as you can figure whether your points bring more value to the table for you using them this way or by reserving hotels you may not normally stay at because they are too expensive. My opinion is use your points the way they best suit you at the time and you can be happy
I had no issues whatsoever with the representative that I spoke with at cruisesonly. He did a great job in getting my reservations and turning in the information to Marriott about purchasing the points. I would definitely use them again if I needed to save money on a cruise and had the points to burn. Hope this information is helpful and answers your question. Happy travels and enjoy your cruise
Hi missgee! I have always loved cruises, one of my favorite ways to explore a lot of the world in a short amount of time. Here is a link that may give you some additional insight to using the MR Cruises Only site: http://www.rewards-insiders.marriott.com/message/31159#31159. Is there a specific destination you are planning to visit?
Thanks ansaa. The link is a little dated but it was reassuring. I am looking at surprising my parents midway through one of their Caribbean cruises. Was thinking I would take my daughter and surprise them on the 2nd leg.
