Marriott Reward Points for cash purchases?

I just realized that I have been losing out on a bunch of points due to the fact that I generally pay for my food and bev during my stay with cash, instead of putting it on my room bill. Often times, my food and bev comes out to about the same, if not more than, the room cost itself.

Does anyone know how to retroactively get points for cash purchases (I have all my receipts), and/or how to get them moving forward if I pay cash for my meals in the future (like tomorrow night in Cleveland).

Thanks for any tips!

This is a good one, maybe The specified item was not found. and the gang can dig up some info for us, thanks. Whereas not a direct answer to your question, (and I look forward to any input on the retro part of your question) in a somewhat similar situation, I had a $100 Marriott Gift Card that I had the front desk separate my parking expenses (which didn't earn points) so I could pay those with the Gift Card and the rest of the bill with my credit card. Perhaps you could arrange at check in to do likewise, thus keeping your two accounts (room/meals) separate.
