Bet your bottom dollar you'll lose the blues in Chicago. That's what Frankie sang, and definitely what we experienced. From the fabulous accommodations at the Palmer House, to the wonderful food at Les Nomades, America's Second City proved to be #1 with us!
Chicago offers such a plethora of great dining and entertainment choices it is impossible to do it all in one visit but we sure gave it our best try! From casual (Lou Malnati's butter crust pizza and Portillo's Chicago dogs) to fine (Bistro 110's mussels frite and MK's tasting menu) dining we experienced great food and service at some of Chicago's best eateries. Shopping on Michigan Avenue and State Street made our wallets lighter and closets more stylish. While our planned attendance at the air and water show was rained out, we happily substituted visits to the aquarium and zoo to visit the Wild Reef and the Kovler Lion House.
