Charging Back Cancelled Rewards Booking

Hi all,

I booked on-line two rooms for two nights at Marriott Court Yard using my rewards points and cancelled the booking before the cancellation deadline by 24 hrs. but I haven’t received the rewards points back yet.  How long does this usually take?

    HI!

Usually a few days they are back on your account. Sometimes you need to log out of your account and resign in. By doing this, it seems to refresh your account and then you can see your points reinstated. You can always call Customer Care if you need them right away for another booking. Hopefully this helps.

When I've cancelled a reward stay the points went immediately back into my account, seemed like when I hit the cancel icon poof there they were.  Yep, call your CS line and ask them directly.

My experience as well has been to see the points go back immediately, though, yes, sometimes I needed to log out and log back in to see the updated point balance.

Same for me. Never had to wait to see points go back into my account. If it's been more that a few days, something may be wrong which could require a call to fix. Good luck.

My points typically go back as soon as I cancel my points reservation.  One time, it didn't.  I contacted customer service and I discovered that an e-certificate was never created so points were never deducted from my account to begin with.

Hello, yousefuthman! Thanks so much for posting. The reward points should have cancelled (and points returned) if you cancelled within the stated cancellation time (which it sounds like you did).  We had one of our Rewards specialists investigate this a little further and he just mentioned to us that he looked at your account and the points were returned on 9/20.  Have you checked your account to see if those points show up on your end?
