While travelling in Philly I came accross a nice place to eat. It is called osteria (Osteria is just a word in Italian that means resturaunt). It is run by a guy named Mark Vetri. He makes great food. The downside (some might consider) is the menu is in italian. If you are not familiar with Italian the server will help you.

I took a co-worker there and had to translate the menu for him. It was a great evening. They had great wines to choose from (anything from Piedmont is good) and the menu was outstanding and fresh. They cook a whole pig everyday. I had that. it was perfect. Meals are served in a fairly traditional sense in that there is an apitizer, 1st course, second course, and dessert.

Here is their website you can find address and directions. Get a reservationor show up early.
