As it is not practical to call a European Marriott family hotel to ask if breakfast, for example, is offered or if they offer lounge privileges I would enjoy seeing input from fellow travellers.
For example, the Paris Marriott offers a wonderful breakfast buffet and a on recent stay at the Marriott at Cap d'Ail we were offered breakfast, and mini-bar privileges as they did not have a "lounge" floor. All aspects of our Cap d'Ail stay rate rave reviews!
At the Vienna Marriott we were welcomed to the lounge on the upper floor for breakfast, light lunch offerings, and light dinner buffet with wine and special coffees - also the staff were wonderful.
I maintain a thread in the Marriott forum on flyertalk.com that lists the status of lounges open/closed on the weekends based on feedback from FTers, Insiders and calling properties. I rely on the hotels websites or FT/Insiders input for the international properties.
