My wife and I will have a day and a half in downtown Salt Lake City after some time in Park City.  We are going to get to a Jazz basketball game.  What else should we do?

The Gateway Mall next to the Energy Solutions Arena is a good place to spend some time.  There are some great restaurants and shops there, in addition to a movie theatre.

Temple Square is a good place to visit if it is your first time in Salt Lake.  Although you will probably be proselytized to by the Mormon missionaries, it is pretty interesting to learn about the history of Salt Lake City and the religion that brought the pioneers here.

Hope you enjoy(ed) your stay here!

Just got back from a stay downtown and enjoyed the New Yorker Rest.  A short walk from the hotel and everything was so clean and pleasant.

The tour of the Church grounds was most interesting, and we are not LDS, the staff of the grounds was very professional and friendly. SLC is a favorite of ours for the food and hospitality.  The Marriott is great.

    Enjoy the Marriott!

The New Yorker is a great rest.

Walking to the Tabernacle is a great experience.  Not being LDS, I admired the staff and their professionalism.

If you have a car, go to Antelope Island in the middle of Salt lake (there is a road, no swimming involved) exit 332 off I-15 N.  Hiking, hanging with Buffalo, amazing place

Go up to the ski areas too, great restaurants there too.  Want to see good bands at a "local" place, check out the Urban Lounge, the only down side is they dont open till about 10 PM, some law about the resturant next to them must be closed :)
