My son and I just completed a three night stay at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. From check in until check out, all was perfect and every Marriott employee we encountered provided a true Aloha welcome. At the Front Desk, we were cheerfully greeted by Anna who provided the excellent customer service one expects and hopes for on check in. My reservation was for a City View room, but as I had hoped, was upgraded to an Ocean View room due to my Platinum Elite status. The room we received had a fabulous view, but was very close to the adjoining building giving us some close "balcony neighbors". I called the Front Desk and again spoke with Anna asking if by any chance there was a different room available. She was indeed able to move us to a different room which had an equally superb view, but without the close neighbors. Shortly after arriving in the new room, we received a call from Anna to confirm everything was to our liking and that we were comfortable. I very much appreciated her follow up and attentiveness, and have to say that we just loved the new room! Not only was Anna able to help us with our room, but she also answered many questions not only about the hotel but also about the area, including bus assistance. I would like to nominate Anna for the Spirit to Serve Award. Unfortunately, I do not know her last name initbut am still hopeful a nomination can be accepted. Our check in was on Monday, June 3, 2013 in the later afternoon.
