I am a Platinum Premier Elite member, staying over 200 nights a year. I recently had a problem with the "Refer a Friend" program. I spent almost 40 minutes on the phone with a very helpfull girl named Sarah. As it turned out, she couldn't help me, however she assured me that she would have someone get back to me soon.
Well, the next day I received an email telling me how sorry Marriott Rewards was they could not help me. Here is a direct "Cut and Paste" from this email. I kid you not!!! They couldn't help me, so they gave me a number to call. As you can guess, I called it and guess what...............it is a "Free Sex Hotline"!!!!
Surely, I hope this was an accident, not just a cruel way to make me more upset. I still have the entire email, I kept it because I was so upset.
Here is an exact portion of the email I that I was sent from Marriott Rewards :
".........call 800 468-4000 to enroll with a representative. We apologize for any inconvenience. The Refer a Friend Program enrollment must be handled thru MarriottRewards office. Your loyalty is appreciated and we look forward to being of service to you in the future.
If we can be of further assistance please contact the Platinum Premier Service Desk at 1-866-576-5696."
